When compressing audio, there is a small drop in quality in lower frequencies, but is more stable on constrained connections, though only when in foreground as the decoding takes a toll on the iPhone as well as the host machine.

Overall a really cool app to have, I use it to watch video on the big screen while my wife is asleep, saves a bunch of money when you look at the cost of buying a nice pair of wireless headphones.
